ST. LOUIS — Missouri State center Cash Hudson (So., Tulsa, Okla.) was named this week’s Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Hudson anchored an MSU unit that rolled up 575 total yards, 300 ground yards, 49 points, and 28 first downs in Saturday’s win at Northern Iowa. He compiled a 98-percent assignment grade, 96-percent effort grade, and 90-percent technique grade in the victory.
Saturday’s offensive output marked MSU’s first 300-yard rushing game since 2017, produced two 100-yard rushers for the first time since 2013 and rolling up 40 or more points for the third straight game for the first time since 2003. The Bears averaged 10.0 yards per carry on 30 rushing attempts at UNI with just one negative play, while the O-Line did not allow any sacks on the afternoon, protecting QB Jacob Clark who completed 20-of-29 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bears have won six straight games and return home this Saturday to host rival Southern Illinois at 2 p.m. All veterans, first responders, and active servicemen and servicewomen will receive free admission with a service ID as part of MSU’s Hosting Heroes Day. Accompanying reserved bleacher tickets are available for just $7.
