Conway boys basketball will have a new look on the court with just one starter returning from last season’s seven-win team.
That lone starter is senior Brixon Bilyeu. The guard averaged 17.8 points per game last season while pulling down a team-high 162 rebounds with 39 assists and 37 steals.
Fellow seniors Holden Lindley and Jackson Gunter along with sophomore Ryan Vaughan will be newcomers to watch. The two seniors are forwards while Vaughan is a guard.
Conway will have both shooting and size.
“Our two biggest strengths will be the ability to shoot the three, and we will have some size down low with two starters being 6’4”,” Conway head coach Dayton Robison said.
Conway opens the regular season on Nov. 21 at home against Marantha Baptist.
“For us to have a successful season, I want to see us grow when time get tough,” Robison said. “Last year we seemed to have a hard time responding to adversity and lost several close games. This year I want us to answer the bell in those moments.”
