New Heights Christian and Logan-Rogersville soccer each lost in the state semifinal in St. Louis on Wednesday.
Valley Park 6, New Heights Christian 3
New Heights fell to Valley Park 6-3 in the Class 1 state semifinal round. Valley Park scored the first two goals of the match at the 15:16 and 39:11 marks of the first half.

That put the score at 2-1 in favor of Valley Park heading into the half.
Valley Park scored just over two minutes into the second half to extend its lead to 3-1.
Exactly four minutes later, Parrigon had a response with a score off a rebound to make it 3-2.
Valley Park scored the next two goals to take a commanding 5-2 lead.
Parrigon got the hat trick with a goal at the 62:26 mark before Valley Park scored the final goal of the match 11 seconds later to make it 6-3.
New Heights Christian will face St. Pius X (Kansas City) in the Class 1 third place game at 10 am on Thursday on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Louis.
Clayton 4, Logan-Rogersville 0
Logan-Rogersville had trouble with Clayton from the start, as the Greyhounds were able to score just 11 seconds into the game.

Clayton added another goal at the 26:47 mark of the first half to take a 2-0 lead on the way to the 4-0 win.

Logan-Rogersville will play in the Class 2 third place game at 12:30 pm on Saturday against the loser of Orchard Farm and St. Michael the Archangel.
