Niangua boys basketball posted back-to-back 19-win seasons going 19-4 last year.
If that recent run of success is to continue, the Cardinals will have to replace 95% of the scoring from last season’s team.
Senior forward Travis Dixon returns with the most experience.
Also returning are junior forward Joesph Klingler and sophomores Avin Hamilton, David Stuber, Matthew Sanchez, Cliffton Steoplemann, Brendy Scheetz and Zeke Vanolia.
Freshman guard Josh Dixon and sophomore forward Hunter Christenson are newcomers.
“It’s a young and inexperienced team with a new coach and so becoming familiar with not only the system I want to implement but also the culture of the program we are building as well,” said new Niangua head coach Carey Davison.
Niangua opens the season on Nov. 22 at home against Halfway.
