As the Marshfield Lady Jays try to get back to the state tournament, they’ll do so with a new coach who has led Marshfield there before.

Marshfield native Trish Marsh has been a coach around the Ozarks for more than two decades spending time with Glendale, Drury and Missouri State. She most recently coached the Lady Falcons from 2017-2021.

Marsh played for the Lady Jays in the 80’s helping them go undefeated winning the first of four straight state championships in 1988. She says she couldn’t pass up the chance to get back to a place that’s so special to her.

“I just didn’t want to have any regrets looking back on my coaching career. The Lady Jays program has always been special and dear to my heart. I am from Marshfield and the opportunity presented itself at a good time in my life. The other two times it just didn’t work with our family dynamics.”
