The Marshfield girls wrestling team was dominant on the way to winning the inaugural Ozark Mountain Conference Girls Wrestling tournament at Hillcrest. The Lady Jays scored 176 points to beat host Hillcrest’s runner-up output of 114 points. Branson (109 points) and Bolivar (106 points) were just behind Hillcrest in third and fourth, respectively. Carl Junction (59 points), West Plains (28 points) and Logan-Rogersville (20) points rounded out the team scoring.
The individual titles were evenly spread out with Marshfield, Branson, Hillcrest and Bolivar all having three individual champions. Carl Junction added in two. What set Marshfield apart was the six runner-up finishes giving the Lady Jays a finalist in 9 of the 14 weight classes.
