The Nixa girls were dominant on the way to the Class 2 District 3 team championship on Saturday in Belton. The Lady Eagles scored 266.5 points to easily outpace runner-up Belton’s 204-point output.

Nixa crowned three individual champions led by Calyese Dupree at 170 pounds. Dupree’s record now stands at 24-0 on the season. Kamryn Bourbon (145 pounds) and Addison Harkins (125 pounds) also won individual titles for Nixa. The Lady Eagles will be chasing a team state title in a couple weeks with 10 total wrestlers qualified for state.

Lebanon and Willard each had two individual champions. Jessa Joiner (115 pounds) and Sophiea Quinn (235 pounds) were Lebanon’s champions. Willard got wins from Harmony Moore (190 pounds) and Ellie Higginbotham (155 pounds).

Camdenton’s Abigail Fuglsang remained unbeaten at 110 pounds running her record to 42-0 entering state. Carthage’s Kaylee James won at 130 pounds to round out the area individual champions.

The top four in each weight class will travel to Columbia Fab. 28 and Mar. 1 for the state tournament. Find a full list of qualifiers below.
