There were no upsets in the first round of the Class 1 District 4 boys basketball tournament in Billings.

Hurley’s duo of Caysen Youngblood and Landon Goldsmith made sure Monday’s game would not be the last for the Tigers. Youngblood poured in 39 points while Goldsmith had 31 as the duo outscored opponent Bradleyville by themselves in an 81-60 win. Jesse Dalton Scored 24 to lead Bradleyville.

Hurley gets Class 1 No. 1 and defending state champion Chadwick at 6 pm on Wednesday.

Host Billings doubled up Niangua 66-33 to defend its No. 2 seed. Chance Shaffer had 18 points to lead Billings followed closely by Justin Bos with 15 points. The Wildcats will face No. 3 seed School of the Ozarks at 7:30 pm on Wednesday. The Patriots beat Lute 57-31 led by 16 points from Timothy Saffle.
