All of the higher seeds advanced in the Class 2 District 10 tournament on Monday at Mansfield.
The host Lions got things going as the four seed beating Gainesville, the five seed, 67-45. Eight different Mansfield players scored led by Haven Proetz (15), Blake Henry (13) and Kellen Campbell (10) all in double figures. Grant Leeker scored 17 to lead Gainesville.
Mansfield will face No. 1 seed Norwood at 6 pm on Wednesday in the semifinal round.
Hartville got enough points in the first quarter (25) to win the game. The Eagles jumped out to a 25-4 lead after one quarter and 46-10 lead at half on the way to a 71-24 win. Harmon Johns led Hartville with 13 points. Payton and Mason Cogdill each added in 11 points each for Hartville. Hartville had 10 different players score in the game. Carson Howard led Dora with 14 points.
The Eagles will face No. 3 seed Bakersfield at 7:30 pm on Friday in the semifinal round. The Lions, a three seed, beat No. 6 Fordland 74-44 led by 16 points from Tyler Cotter. Morris Collins and Connor Jones each had 13 in the win. Jacob Hart led all scorers with 17 points for Fordland.
