Familiar foes will face off in the Class 2 District 11 title game on Friday in Purdy in Crane and Blue Eye.
The former SWCL foes have ended each other’s seasons in each of the past three seasons and combined to win the last four, now five, Class 2 District 11 titles.
Crane beat Galena 55-32 in the semifinal round on Wednesday with seven different players scoring in the game. Andrew Faucett scored 16 points to lead all scorers. Bobby Harris paced Galena with 13 points.
Blue Eye doubled up Purdy in the first quarter 24-12 on the way to a 62-52 win. Braxton Bell scored 25 points to lead Blue Eye. Carter Keeling had 29 points to lead all scorers for Purdy.
Crane won the Class 2 District 11 title in 2021 and 2023. Blue Eye won it in 2022 and 2024. This season, Crane won the regular season matchup 59-45 on Jan. 21. The championship game tips off at 6 pm on Friday in Purdy.
