No. 1 seed Clever defended its home court in a 70-47 win over Sarcoxie in the Class 3 District 12 semifinal.
Kenzie Camp scored 23 to lead Clever. Bella Argo (19 points) and Kinley Burk (14 points) also scored in double figures for Clever.
Ariel Wilson led Sarcoxie and all scorers with 26 points in the loss.
Pierce City used a second-half comeback to hold off upset-minded Diamond 53-49. The Wildcats took a 25-23 lead over Pierce City into the half. Out of the break, Pierce City turned up the defense holding Diamond to six points to take a 33-31 lead after three quarters on the way to a 53-49 win.
Clever and Pierce City play in the Class 3 District 12 championship game at 6 pm on Saturday in Clever. The Blue Jays are chasing their second consecutive district title and third in four years. Pierce City will be looking to win its first district title since 2018.
