It will be the too two seeds facing off in the Class 1 District 4 championship in Greenfield on Saturday.
Liberal is one step closer to a second straight district title after doubling up host Greenfield 50-25. Taylor Swarnes matched Greenfield’s output with a game-high 25 points for the Bulldogs.
In the second semifinal, Lockwood more than doubled up Dadeville in a 68-33 win. Asa Lasater led the way with 32 points in the win for Lockwood. Peyton Lasater had 13 and Hadley Abiatti scored 11. Emma Sayers led Dadeville with 13 points.
Lockwood and Liberal face off in the Class 1 District 4 championship game at 7 pm on Saturday in Greenfield.
Liberal won the regular season matchup over Lockwood 60-40 in the Golden City Tournament on Jan. 17. The Bulldogs made the final four last season and placed fourth. Lockwood is looking for its first district title since 2019.
