The top four seeds all advanced with wins by 24 or more points in Thursday’s Class 6 District 5 quarterfinal round.
The top two seeds Nixa and Kickapoo won by matching 83-32 scores.
Nixa opened up a 30-2 lead after one quarter on the way to beating Neosho 83-32. The Lady Eagles had 14 different players score in the game led by Ceely Young with 17 points. Beclynn Garrett led Neosho with 16 points.
Branson will be Nixa’s semifinal opponent after the No. 5 seeded Lady Pirates upset No. 4 Glendale 60-33. Angelique Craigg led all scorers for all of the games with 24 points.
Branson and Nixa play at 1 pm on Saturday in Ozark in the semifinal round.
Kickapoo scored at least 23 points in each of the first three quarters on the way to its 83-32 win over Lebanon. Mikayla Pilley scored 23 to lead Kickapoo and all scorers in the game.
The Lady Chiefs will face Republic in the semifinal round after the Lady Tigers defeated Ozark 69-45 in the final game of the night.
Paelyn Gilmore scored 20 points to lead Republic. She was followed closely by teammates Lanney Strong and Cora Cutbirth with 16 points each.
Lauren Carson led Ozark with 20 points.
Kickapoo and Republic play in the second semifinal at 2:30 pm on Saturday in Ozark. The Lady Chiefs beat Republic 44-36 in the regular season matchup on Feb. 17.
