Logan-Rogersville is heading back to the Class 4 state quarterfinal round for a third straight year after pulling away from Aurora in the middle two quarters to win 73-51 in the sectional round on Monday night.
The game looked like it might be a shootout after a 23-18 first quarter advantage for Logan-Rogersville.
In the second quarter, the Wildcat defense showed up and held Aurora to just seven points while scoring 17 to take a 40-25 lead into the break.
Logan-Rogersville extended its advantage with a 25-11 third quarter to put the game away.
Chase Branham led all scorers with 22 points. Marcus Moore had 16 and Titus Moore was just behind him with 15 in the win.

Aurora was led by Cannon Thornhill with 20.
The Wildcats advance to face Father Tolton Catholic is the state quarterfinal round for a third consecutive season. Two years ago, Tolton Catholic won 52-35 on a neutral court at SBU. Last season, Logan-Rogersville won 60-53 on its home court.
The third matchup will be played in Columbia at Father Tolton Catholic on Friday night at a time to be determined. Logan-Rogersville was ranked second in Class 4 in the final regular season MBCA state poll while Tolton was ranked seventh.
