Warsaw softball has big goals in 2025 with one of the state’s top pitchers returning in first-team all-state selection Brylee Brewster.

“We are returning Brylee Brewster, who is a senior this year. Brylee has been our starting pitcher since her freshman season. She has a great mix of pitches, speed and control of the ball,” Warsaw head coach Kelli Eierman said. “Her movement is what sets her apart from many other pitchers.”

Brewster had a 1.44 ERA and 220 strikeouts last season. She also hit .671 at the plate.

Sophomore Brianna Fellers is also a candidate for some innings in the circle.

“Bri had some mound time her freshman year and did an excellent job,” Eierman said. “We are excited to see what she can do in her sophomore season.”

First-team all-state catcher Tanna Howe returns behind the plate in her junior season. She hit .554 last season.

Second-team all-state shortstop Haylee Cobb returns for her senior season after hitting .483 as a junior.

Mady Reimund (sophomore third base), Sara Miller (sophomore second base) and Elizabeth Winters (sophomore) first base round out the infield lineup. Miller led that group in batting average at .420 last season

Addison Sherill (junior) will likely move to centerfield from right this season. She hit .451 as a sophomore.

Fellers and Maylee Slavens will each see time in the outfield this season.

Cobb, Brewster and Howe will form a core of leadership.

“Our team leaders will be our seniors, Haylee Cobb and Brylee Brewster, as well as junior Tanna Howe,” Eierman said. “Their knowledge and passion for the game help our team tremendously. They are continuously looking for ways to get better and help those around them.”

Warsaw opens the season Mar. 21-22 at the Harrison (Ark.) Tournament.

“The experience we are returning to our team this year is one of our top strengths. We have a great group of athletic, smart and determined girls,” Eierman said. “We want our identity to be tough all around. We want to be tough at the plate, tough on defense and most importantly mentally tough.”
