The Logan-Rogersville girls basketball team is returning to the final four for the first time since 2019 after beating Owensville 46-35 on the road.
The Lady Wildcats took a 15-10 lead after one quarter, but Owensville struck back in the second quarter with an 11-5 advantage to carry a 21-20 lead into the break.
Logan-Rogersville got the lead back after three quarter at 29-26 and then put the game away with an eight-point fourth-quarter advantage.
Millie MacPherson led Logan-Rogersville with 15 points. Sidney Holland (nine), Hailey Buckman (nine) and Reagan Rasmussen (eight) were all a part of a balanced Lady Wildcat attack.
MacPherson drained two threes and had a critical assist to Rasmussen in the 4th to close out the game.
“It feels great, this is what you play for all year. Our girls have wanted this since 7th grade, they’ve been talking about it. To make it this year is really special,” head coach Cory Watts said.
Logan-Rogersville (25-5) advances to face Benton (24-6) in the Class 4 state semifinal round at 8 pm on Friday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. The Lady Wildcats will be seeking the program’s first appearance in a state title game.
