The Norwood girls placed fourth in the Class 2 after falling 61-42 to Tipton in the third place game on Saturday morning at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
Tipton started fast taking a 16-8 lead after one quarter and 26-15 at the half. The Cardinals pressed the advantage in the third quarter taking the frame 21-12 on the way to the win.
Kalie Chadwell led Norwood with 13 points. She also drew six fouls. Autumn Gunter scored 12 points with four rebounds in her final game for Norwood.
Norwood finishes the season with a 25-7 record. The Lady Pirates graduate three seniors including Gunter, Quinncy Vestal and Gracie Gray.
