Pleasant Hope softball is looking to bounce back from a one-win season in 2024 with eight players returning with varsity experience.
Those players include: Jordyn Miner (senior), Morgan Bannister (senior), Tye Hochhalter (senior), Maddy Alexander (junior), Loraine Arciniegas (junior), Addison Rogers (junior), Bonnie Chapman (junior) and Athen Wilson (sophomore).
Chapman and freshman Kyra Keeling will handle the pitching duties.
“Pitching is a big question mark,” Pleasant Hope head coach Kevin McVey said. “How they handle the pressure of being in the circle could determine how the season goes.”
Rogers, Alexander and Chapman could all catch.
The infield will feature Lily Lambeth, Hochhalter, Alexander, Wilson, Rogers and Miner. Bannister, Arciniegas, Alexander, Hochhlater and Addison Garrison will be in the outfield.
Miner, Hochhlater, Bannister and Garrison will be team leaders.
“They are very vocal and supportive of their teammates,” McVey said. “They are willing to work hard and do what it takes to have a successful season.”
Pleasant Hope opens the season on Mar. 21 at Hollister.
