Mikayla Pilley posed a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double in her final game in a Kickapoo uniform to lead the Lady Chiefs to a 45-31 win over Cor Jesu in the Class 6 third place game on Thursday in Columbia.
Pilley was 8-for-16 from the field and drew six fouls in the game. She accounted for half of Kickapoo’s made field goals.
The Lady Chiefs only trailed for 1:42 of the 32 minutes in the game and led by as many as 17 late in the third quarter.
Kickapoo was dominant in the paint out-rebounding Cor Jesu 45-23 and outscoring Cor Jesu 30-14 in the paint. The Lady Chiefs held Cor Jesu to 27% (10-for-37) from the field and 12.5% (2-for-16) from three in the win.
Kickapoo finishes the season with a 28-4 record.
