The Springfield Cardinals punched their ticket to the postseason with a win on Thursday night over the Corpus Christi Hooks, 7-2. Springfield clinched the Texas League North first half title with the win, which secures a playoff berth later in the season.

The SpringCards have the best record overall in the Texas League at 40-26 and clinched the first-half title with a four-game lead and three to play.
Joshua Baez powered the Cardinals to the win on Thursday with two home runs, bringing his total to six in just 18 games in Springfield.

Ozark native and Astros farmhand Zach Cole knocked a home run for the Hooks in the 5th inning for one of their two runs on the night.
