West Plains wrestling will be an inexperienced group for both the boys and girls this winter.
On the boys’ side, seniors Logan Sitzes (215 pounds) and Joshua Ingram (150) along with sophomore Colten McGuire (138) will be the team’s top wrestlers.
Seniors Logan Harris (285) and Keegan Allcorn (144) along with junior Cooper Darnell (175) also return.
George Fisher (junior, 157), Tyler Colon (senior, 165), Xarian Richardson (freshman, 106) and Ty Bean (senior, 120) will also look to contribute to the varsity lineup.
“We are looking to be more competitive as a tournament team. This team has a ton of potential to show up and compete,” West Plains head coach Raegan Fox said. “This team had a great summer working in the weight room and with open mats. They have been working hard in the off-season.”

On the girls’ side, West Plains graduated a strong group from last year’s team, so new wrestlers will have to step up.
Rayven Davis (senior, 120), Nakeisha Davis (sophomore, 135), Ariana Richardson (junior, 125) and Zoey Foster (junior, 155) will be the team’s top wrestlers.
Sophomore Madyson Melvin (105) and freshman Flora Darnell (110) will also be key varsity wrestlers.
“This is a huge rebuilding year,” Fox said. “These ladies are working hard each day and should see improvement throughout the season.”
West Plains opens the season on Nov. 29 against Rolla.
