QUINCY, Ill. – The Drury Lady Panthers pulled away from Quincy midway through the first quarter as they won their 11th straight game with an 85-48 win on Saturday at the Pepsi Arena in Quincy, Illinois.

Drury went on an 11-0 run in the opening period and outscored the Hawks 26-7 over an eight-minute span in the first half.

The 12th ranked Lady Panthers improved to 19-2 and 11-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Quincy fell to 4-17 and 1-10 in the league. The loss was the Hawks seventh straight.

“We talked about needing to maintain our defensive intensity and I thought we did that,” said Drury head coach Molly Miller.

Paige Wilson led Drury with a game-high 19 points. The senior from Bartlesville, Oklahoma went 5 for 7 from three-point range. Hannah Dressler had a double-double for the Lady Panthers with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Drury was without forward Hailey Diestelkamp. The freshman forward who is Drury’s leading rebounder and second leading scorer was dressed for the game but sat out with an injured foot.

The Lady Panthers added 14 points from Briana Jones and Heather Harman. Freshman Brooke Stanfield had a career high 12 points and six rebounds.

“I’m really proud of Hannah and Brooke with the way they rebounded,” said Miller. “I was pleased with everyone today in how they picked up the slack with Hailey out.”

Cha Cha Williams led with Quincy with 10 points.

Drury plays on the road again next week. The Lady Panthers travel to 11th ranked Bellarmine on Thursday. Tipoff is 4:30 p.m. (central) in Louisville, Kentucky.
