No. 3 Glendale survived upset-minded No. 6 Willard with a 72-70 overtime win in the Class 5 District 6 semifinals on Wednesday.
Host Willard led 14-13 after one quarter. Glendale responded with a 19-14 advantage in the second quarter to take a 32-28 lead into the half. Out of the half, Willard got two points back in each of the third and fourth quarters to force overtime.
In the extra frame, Ta’Veaion Washington took over scoring eight of Glendale’s 12 points including going seven-for-eight from the free throw line.

Cole Feuerbacher led all scorers with 25 points for Glendale. He accounted for 11 of Glendale’s 14 fourth-quarter points. Washington and Payton Norris each had 17 for Glendale.
Logan Crighton led Willard with 22 points followed closely by Drew Quinlan’s 19 points.
Glendale advances to face SPS rival Parkview in the Class 5 District 6 semifinals at 7:30 pm on Friday in Willard.
