Monett posted seven wins in 2023, which was the most for the program since winning 12 games in 2018.
Six starters return from that team.
Head coach Neal Bluel identified senior goalkeeper Katherin Simmons and junior defender Anahi Aguirre as team leaders.
Senior Jaqueline Salas will be a key player seeing time at forward and midfield.
“Jaqueline has worked hard to come back to playing from sitting out most of last season with an early season injury,” Bluel said.
Monett opens the regular season on Mar. 19 at home against Carl Junction.
“Our team’s positive attitude will take us far this year. All the girls who have come out to play really want to be there and want to work hard to be successful,” Bluel said. “I expect that we will grow a lot this season into our style of play and our ability to work the ball around the field.”
