Standout Glendale baseball pitcher Drew Wedgeworth has announced his commitment to Missouri State.
The Falcons senior announced the news on social media Wednesday.
The left-hander is the grandson of longtime Missouri State baseball coach and Athletics Director Bill Rowe.
Rowe founded the Bears baseball program in 1964 and coached the team for 19 years.
He’s watched his grandson emerge as one of Glendale’s top pitchers in recent years. Last season, Wedgeworth threw a no-hitter to help the Falcons win a district championship.
This year, he’s again one of the top arms on a Falcons team that’s ranked No. 7 in Class 6.
