SPRINGFIELD, MO — The RangeGoats golf team is planning to visit Convoy of Hope at 1 Convoy Drive in Springfield on Monday, August 12, 2024, to learn more about Convoy’s Agriculture program, pack hygiene products and put on an exhibition for some PGA Jr. League golfers and local high school golf teams.
The RangeGoats play in the LIV professional men’s golf tour. They are captained by two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson. Watson will visit, along with team member Matthew Wolff.
The RangeGoats wanted to visit Convoy of Hope because they are supporters of the organization and its desire to feed the world. For the last season, the RangeGoats have donated a goat to Convoy’s Agriculture program for every team they beat weekly in LIV competition. Convoy’s Agriculture participants can learn how to raise goats as a business to provide for their families.
During their visit to Convoy of Hope’s Global Headquarters and Training Center (GHQ), the RangeGoats will visit Convoy’s Center for Agriculture and Food Security, where some goats are housed. They will also tour Convoy’s GHQ and World Distribution Center.
The media is invited for video, pictures and interviews with the RangeGoats from 2-3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, when the RangeGoats will visit with local youth golfers, put on an exhibition and join the students in packing hygiene kits that Convoy will deliver to disaster survivors and others. High school golf teams expected to attend include Central, Glendale, Kickapoo, Lockwood and Nixa, as well as several PGA Jr. golfers and their families.
