Logan-Rogersville’s quest for the program’s second state title came up one match short in a 3-0 loss to Potosi in the Class 3 state championship on Saturday.
Potosi won by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-20.
The Wildcats could never quite get their offense going in rhythm with 22 hitting errors in the three sets. They also had seven service errors in the match.

Potosi’s Ava Robart was also a force for the Trojans with 25 kills on a .328 hitting percentage.
Hailey Buckman and Addie Goff led Logan-Rogersville with nine kills each. Kamryn Marshall had 12 assists with Goff just behind her at 11. Goff and Marshall also led in digs with 11 each.
Even with the loss, there was plenty for Logan-Rogersville to be proud of as they look back on what was a season of growth.
“It is still an unreal feeling to be here. I have tried to let it set in but it is hard to do that sometimes. I am just proud of the growth they have had. I am proud of how different of a team we were by the end of the season,” Logan-Rogersville head coach Logan Beach said.

The Wildcats will graduate a trio of seniors in Chloe Parker, Addie Goff and Maddie Wilson from this year’s team, but the future remains bright.
“My whole lineup outside of my three seniors was all juniors. I bring back a really big chunk of kids. I have a really good group coming up from the eighth grade. My freshmen had a really great season. There is a lot to look forward to, but it is really hard at the moment,” Beach said.
Logan-Rogersville finishes the season with a 21-16-2 record.
