All of the higher seeded teams advanced to the Class 2 District 11 semifinal round.
Galena used a balanced attack with Jaxon Foster (19 points), Bobby Harris Jr. (16 points), Jack Stephens (14 points) and John Bailey (12 points) all scoring in double figures for the Bears on the way to a 74-38 win over Exeter. Kason Nelson scored 12 points to lead Exeter. Galena, the No. 4 seed, advances to face No. 1 seed Crane at 6 pm on Wednesday at Purdy.
Blue Eye was dominant as the No. 2 seed in an 80-20 win over Verona. The Bulldogs were up 28-6 after one quarter and 52-10 at the half. Kole Tuner poured in 22 points to lead all scorers with teammate Braxton Bell just behind him with 21 points of his own. Isaac Harper (11 points) also scored in double figures for Blue Eye.
Purdy will be Blue Eye’s semifinal opponent after the No. 3 seed Eagles beat Wheaton 75-45. Carter Keeling had 22 points to lead Purdy and all scorers. Damon Mahurin had 19 points and Will Henderson 15 in the win.
Blue Eye and Purdy will face off at 7:30 pm on Wednesday in Purdy.
