Class 3 District 10 boys quarterfinal roundup

Licking and Liberty both advanced to the Class 3 District 10 semifinal round on Monday, but the teams got it done in different ways.

For Licking, it was the Roston Stockard show in a 64-54 win over host Houston. Stockard scored 28 points to lead the No. 4 seed Wildcats past No. 5 Houston. Jordan Ritz (14) and Benton Corley (10) were also in double figures for Licking. DJ Riley led Houston wiht 15 points.

Licking will face top-seeded Thayer at 6 pm on Wednesday in the semifinal round.

Liberty used defense and balanced scoring to beat Cabool 61-36. Seven different Eagles scored at least four points led by 14 each from Drayton Wells and Parker Tune. Alex Tune had 11. Jordan Kentner led Cabool with 12 points.

The Eagles, a three seed, play No. 2 Willow Springs at 7:30 pm on Wednesday in the semifinal round.
