Class 1 District 8 No. 1 seed Halfway and No. 2 seed Wheatland are familiar with each other.
The two programs have met 30 times since 2009 and nine times in the past four seasons. This year, they split two regular season games with Wheatland winning the first 45-40 and Halfway the second 69-38.
The rubber match on Friday went to Wheatland by a 47-35 margin. Wheatland was consistent throughout the game winning three quarters and tying another one.
Andrew Murphy had 17 points followed by Brayden Sawyer with 11 and Tucker Shaddox with 10.

Zach Laney scored 13 to lead Halfway followed by Maddox McCarthy with 11.
