Kickapoo's Isaac Johnson, a three-year starter for the Chiefs, picked up the Marty Eddlemon Memorial Most Valuable Player Award.  Johnson credits his teammates, especially the seven other seniors for making this honor possible.

"It's really special for me and my teammates," said Johnson, who is committed to play at Drury next year.  "They got me to this point and I wouldn't be the player that I am without them, so it's very special and a huge honor."

The 24-2 Chiefs picked up another honor with head coach Dick Rippee winning his third Jack Roberts Memorial Coach of the Year honor; second in three years.

Parkview and first year head coach Landon Cornish were presented the Eddie Matthews Sportsmanship Award.

The Tipoff Club is a long-running weekly meeting where area coaches discuss their team's previous and upcoming week's games.
