After Saturday’s big win senior Josh Evans and freshman, Darrius Lee was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week on Monday.
Josh Evans – DE

- Led Evangel with 11 tackles including 5.0 tackles for a loss and two sacks
- Evans moved into third on the all-time Evangel sacks list with 28 and gave him 60.5 tackles for a loss during his career where he is already the all-time leader
- Now ranks second in the nation in tackles for a loss (16) and third nationally in sacks (9)
- Helped Evangel knock off MidAmerica Nazarene for first win over Pioneers in 14 years

- Averaged 9.0 yards per carry
