Lucas was without a doubt the most impactful two-way player in the Ozarks and one of the best pure football players you’ll see at the high school level. On offense, Lucas tallied 1,890 yards rushing and 31 touchdowns on 168 carries. Defensively, the future Arkansas State Red Wolf, had 57 tackles and 11 sacks for the state champion Lamar Tigers. He also was a key special teams contributor as he punted 33 times for a 34 yards-per-punt average. He was named Class 2 Offensive Player of the Year after taking home defensive player of the year honors as a junior.
