Salem will be looking to climb up the SCA standings in coach Amanda Walker’s second season as head coach coming off of a six-win season a year ago.
The Lady Tigers return two all-conference selections in Madeline Keith (middle hitter) and Bailey Martin (setter). Two other seniors also return in Faith Roberts (outside hitter) and Kirsten Golden (libero) will also be team leaders this year.
“I expect big things out of all of them,” Walker said. “All four have gained a lot of knowledge and confidence and will be playing a very smart game this year.”

Juniors Jana Cook (middle/outside hitter), Shelby Wallace (opposite setter) and senior Londyn Cook (middle/outside hitter) also return after seeing varsity time last season.
Jodie Dean and Melody Whitman are two juniors that will move up from junior varsity to varsity this season. Both are defensive specialists.
The wealth of returning experience has Walker expecting a strong season from her team.
“My expectations is to hit double-digit wins this year,” Walker said. “This program has struggled for a while, but I am really proud of the gains the girls have made this past year. Their skill sets and volleyball IQ have improved tremendously giving us a lot more tools in our belt to use to close out more sets this season.”
