Lamar returns a talented core of players from last year’s team that finished 17-11-1 overall.
Five returning seniors will be a big part of Lamar’s season this fall. That group includes: Lizzy Davison (outside hitter), Parker Evans (libero), Sierra White (outside hitter), Elisea Daniels (middle hitter), Hannah Brisbin (middle hitter). Evans earned honorable mention all-conference honors last year.
“This senior group is incredibly versatile and possess great leadership skills,” Lamar head volleyball coach Andrea Fast said.
Junior Kyleigh Talbott returns after earning first-team all-conference honors last year. She will be a middle hitter and blocker who has the ability to play all six rotations.
Both varsity setters in Emma Johnson (junior) and Cesli Rice (sophomore) return as well.

Lamar’s players are ready for Missouri’s switch from a best-of-three to best-of-five set format this year.
“The girls are really excited to go to a five-set format. It has really motivated them to increase conditioning and they’re excited for the change. Most states have already implemented this, and I know the seniors are glad that they will get to experience the five-set format before they graduate,” Fast said.
The Tigers are hoping to make a deep post-season run behind their strong group of returning players.
“We always have expectations to keep improving and to win,” Fast said. “This group of girls really like to win and they are goal-oriented. It will be a fun season.”
Lamar opens the season on Sept. 1 at home against Aurora.
