SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury guard Conley Garrison was named the Player of the Week in the Great Lakes Valley Conference for his performance in three games last week.
Conley Garrison averaged 22 points as the Panthers went 2-1. The senior from Bolivar also averaged 7.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 3.7 steals. Garrison made 15 of his 16 free-throw attempts and shot .360 from three-point range, hitting 9 of his 25 tries from behind the arc.
He had 24 points and a career-high 13 rebounds against Lindenwood on Thursday. In Saturday’s win over Missouri-St. Louis, Garrison scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half, and he added eight assists in the Panthers’ 78-66 victory over the Tritons. He started the week with 21 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals at William Jewell on Tuesday.
The award marks the fourth time Garrison has won the league’s weekly award during his career and the second time this season he has been selected. He won honors earlier this year on Dec. 21, and he previously earned the award on Dec. 11, 2019, and Dec. 10, 2018.
The Panthers are 7-8 and return to action on Tuesday when they play at Rockhurst for a 5:30 pm game in Kansas City, Missouri.
