SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked ninth this week’s NCAA-II coaches’ poll.
Drury is 22-3 and 12-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Lady Panthers went 1-1 last week with a 75-65 loss at Missouri-St. Louis on Friday followed by a 69-58 win at Lindenwood on Saturday.
Glenville State (20-0) remained ranked number one in the poll, while Ashland (20-1) is ranked second, and Azusa Pacific (17-1) is third.
Three teams from the GLVC are in the top 25 this week. In addition to Drury, Missouri-St. Louis (16-2) debuted in the poll at number 23, and Southern Indiana (17-3) is ranked 25th.
This week’s poll marks the 130th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest streak in the nation. It is also their 68th straight week in the top 10.
Drury is at home twice this week and on Thursday, will face 25th ranked Southern Indiana. Tipoff is at 5:45 pm in the O’Reilly Family Event Center. Saturday, the Lady Panthers host McKendee at 1 pm.
