Leeton’s defensive pressure proved too much for Walnut Grove in a 58-39 Class 1 third place game loss for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Bulldogs forced 26 Walnut Grove turnovers in the game, which led to an extra 20 field goal attempts by Leeton. Walnut Grove shot 42.4% from the field for the game, which was slightly better than Leeton’s 41.5% mark from the field.

Jacie Gavisk led Walnut Grove with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers finish the season with a record of 23-9. Walnut Grove is poised for a return trip next season with the entire roster expected to be back.
